About annesykes

I am an ardent fan of Boris Johnson , emphatically think he would be a wonderful Prime Minister. In the meantime another term of London Mayor is of course in the interests of all, not just Londoners!

CONGRATULATIONS GEORGE OSBOURNE !

Congratulations George Osbourne!
Only the Conservative party could come up with such a hope inspired budget
at this time,
Labour has created so much turmoil in their time, that one wonders
at the ability to actually salvage anything at all,
The idea of people getting off their backsides and helping themselves is a great incentive.
The more people take responsibilty for their own actions the sooner the country will recover.
It was a wonderful idea to help less fortunate people on the property ladder at this time,
when virtually all hope of ever doing so was lost.
I congratulate you George!!!
Obviously the next great milestone will be Boris at the helm!
I just cant wait for that moment, it will happen ! be sure of that!!!

BORIS OUTSHONE THE LOT AT THE LONDON DEBATE!!!

Boris certainly came out on top at the London Debate out shining the others errhh who were they ? into obscurity.
Although David Cameron is having a tough time at the moment,( personally I feel sorry for him I think he is doing a great job under dreadful duress) hopefuuly Boris should be re elected to his rightful place on the 3rd of May.
He really is the only possible contender for such a powerful responsible job, having already proved his prowess to Londoners and the whole of the UK.
We need someone like Boris the others just havnt got what it takes and would
be disasterous to London the greatest capital in the world!!!
Soooo VOTE FOR BORIS YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE !

Lord Sugar Says ‘Don’t Vote For Ken Livingstone’

London, London Mayoral Election, Lord Sugar, Uk News, UK Politics News
Labour peer Lord Alan Sugar has told Londoners not to vote for his party’s candidate in the mayoral election, despite him having the backing of the party’s leader.

“I don’t care if Ed Miliband is backing Livingstone. I seriously suggest NO ONE votes for Livingstone in the Mayoral elections,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Sky doing live Mayoral interview with candidates at 8pm today Johnston v Livingstone is real issue. Livingstone must NOT get in on 3rd May,” he tweeted to his 1.9 million followers.

The star of The Apprentice also dismissed suggestions that he should take on the role himself.

“It’s been suggested I run for Mayor. Not possible, too many commercial conflicts, no time, more to the point I would not know where to start,” he said.

It is not the first time Lord Sugar has criticised his own party. Last month he attacked Miliband for “jumping on the bandwagon of bank bashing”.

Speaking during a debate on the Budget, Lord Sugar criticised Miliband’s decision to condemn moves to award RBS chief executive Stephen Hester a bonus of almost £1m.

“The reality is carry on doing that and these people will go and get a job in a different type of company where the culture of paying bonuses is not frowned upon,” he said.

“Pay peanuts and you will get monkeys,” he said. “Change the record, start to install

A VERY SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM BORIS!

A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM BORIS!!!

Please read the Mayors message we all know he speaks the truth from his actual time in office.

It is vital to re elect the Mayor of London to continue the amazing things achieved so far, but he has so many

wonderful plans for the greatest capitol in the world.

Boris also plans to REDUCE TAXES THAT IS AMAZING CONSIDERING THE RECESSION !!!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You’ve heard me say it before, but it bears repeating – this election comes at a critical time.

We are going through tough economic times, and Londoners are understandably concerned about their jobs and the cost of living. This is why my priorities over the last four years have been cutting waste and bureaucracy at City Hall and ensuring London taxpayer money is put where you want to see it spent.

Every pound of Londoners’ money is precious, and should be spent in a clear, open and honest way on their priorities – creating jobs and making London safer.

When I was elected the entire City Hall budget was in chaos. My determination to end the waste and mismanagement of the previous Mayor has freed up the money to pay for a strong plan for London’s future and we are putting that money where Londoners want to see it spent – in spite of the very difficult financial circumstances.

I want to continue taking London forward, to deliver even greater value and even more transparency for Londoners.

Read the latest chapter of my manifesto, Cutting waste and council tax, now: http://www.backboris2012.com/cuttingwaste

So I will:

Cut council tax for every Londoner by at least 10%. This will be phased over the next four years, with a guaranteed cut every year and follows on from me freezing council tax for each of the past three years and cutting it this year.
Save a further £1.5 billion across the GLA Group in the coming year, bringing total savings since I was elected to £3.5 billion – freeing money for services by cutting waste, including at Transport for London to help me to keep fares low in the long term, without wrecking the urgently needed modernisation of the network.
Publish an itemised breakdown to show Londoners where the Mayor’s share of council tax is spent.
Publish all GLA Group spending over £250, and the expenses and register of interests of senior staff, not just advisors, will be itemised online for the the first time, continuing the culture of transparency and openness I have introduced at City Hall.
And every pledge that I have made in this election is also fully costed and fully funded.

Ken Livingstone presided over a discredited regime that squandered taxpayers’ money on self- publicity, his jaunts to Cuba and Venezuela, and accusations of cronyism. This tarnished the reputation of London and resulted in Londoners having little trust in the Mayoralty.

I have worked hard to change this culture, stamping out waste and bringing transparency to spending. I have already cut £2 billion of waste across the GLA Group to free up investment for Londoners’ priorities, including putting 1,000 more police on London’s streets, and creating over 200,000 jobs over the next four years as well as investing in the modernisation of the transport network, and above all, holding down council tax.

And as your council tax bills show, we have made progress despite difficult times. At the Mayoral election on 3rd May this progress is at risk.

The choice at this election is between taking London backwards to the years of waste and division or to go forward with my plan to cut council tax, cut waste, and make sure that every penny of public money is spent on Londoners’ priorities to make London the best big city to live in.

So please pledge your support for my 10% council tax cut today: http://www.backboris2012.com/ctpledge

Thank you for your support,
